Deborah Tincher: I heard your song Mexican Love Songs way back when I was a teen and I loved it then. I looked for the record but couldn't find it, yet never forgot it. Today I searched YouTube and found it along with the link to this site. Thank you for one of my all-time favorite songs!
Paul: Just a reply re Peter's kind comment on Shanley Dell. Shanley is actually a very proud Kiwi girl. From, her equally as proud cousin.
Jan Knowles: I've been trying to find the words to Mexican Love Songs for years. Thanx!! I've written some fine travelling songs. Want to take a look?I know, everyone sez that, but I'm not the only one who thinks so. I've just never quite got the hang of marketing them, never do know who might want to record them. I am an artist, not a businesswoman. I had a particularly deadly form of ovarian cancer 21yrs. ago, and it changed my life, made me realize how much I wanted to LIVE! It also put me on a beautiful
Rob Johnson: Ms. Linda,Rob (Robby) Johnson here, from the Eagle's Nest. For the last 24 years, I've treasured the kindness that you and Mr. Charlie showed me while my mother was in the hospital back in 1982-83. I'm so glad to hear that you're doing well! Your album "A New Song" is one of my all-time favorites, and though my cassette of the album is long gone, I've continued to sing what songs I can remember. I was excited to hear the song samples you have on your website; and I'm hoping that the "A New S
Candice: Ms. Hargrove, I am writing a book about the history of music in Macon, GA. I noticed in Zell Miller's book about music, he notes that you lived in Macon with your grandmother and wrote a song about the experience. I was wondering if you'd be willing to comment on that for my book, which is a very positive, family-friendly project to be published by Indigo Publishing. Your life story is very inspiring. Thanks very much! Candice Dyer
Peter: Hi Linda.. contacted you some years ago concerning talented Aussie girl Shanley Dell.Today I have another enormously talented Aussie; Jeanette Wormald.Kind regards,Peter Ramsey (Australia)
Kathleen: Hi Linda -- I've just been looking back at my @MusicRow that for one reason or another had not read and found Oerman's DISClaimer about your single. My eyes are used up for this session already and I'm heading for bed, but I'll try to come back to your site another time when I can read and enjoy it. Your friend since Fan Fair 1975. Kathleen

SORRY I HAVEN'T WRITTEN YOU LATELY............

Dear Friends and Fans.............

I apologize for being an unfaithful blogger and vow to try to do better this year as I do every year. Ha ha ha.

I'm wishing you all a wonderful 2008 and I hope you propser as well as experience excellent health.  I spent New Years' in the hospital in Tallahassee with an infection in my foot.  I was released on January 10th and I've been recuperating here at home and now I've almost recovered completely.  For those of you who knew, Thank you for your prayers and kind thoughts and phone calls.

JOHN STEWART PASSES

I'm thinking today about John Stewart, the great singer/songwriter who passed away Saturday in San Diego of a massive brain hemmorahage.  You can check out the story here in the LA Times.

or
here at http://www.chillywinds.com/  (a very nice story)

I had the great experience in 1973 to meet John and Buffy Ford  in Nashville and be a background vocalist on his classic album "CANNONS IN THE RAIN".  I remember having great time and hanging out at RCA Studio B during the whole project. I had just signed with Elektra Records that January and was waiting for my first album to come out.  Pete Drake was working on the album and introduced me to John, who instantly invited me to be on the project.  It was a thrill for me as I had been a HUGE Kingston Trio fan.  My older brother Lee and I saw him with Bob Shane and Nick Reynold at the Miami Beach Civic Center in 1962. I was 13 years old.  You can only imagine how wonderful it was for me in 1973 to not only meet one of my major musical influences, but to work with him as well.
